We believe in a bright and promising future. Making socially responsible and environmentally conscious decisions is therefor essential. Every Sproet & Sprout article is made from our basic principle ‘Made to last’. We select high-quality materials so that our products last a long time.
ORGANIC COTTON
We mostly use GOTS certified organic cotton which is processed in a environmentally friendly way and ethical manner. Only pure cotton plants are used, free of synthetic pesticides or other harmful substances for people and the environment.
RECYCLED POLYESTER
Our commitment to sustainability shines through as we incorporate recycled polyester into our clothing. By repurposing post-consumer plastic bottles, we not only contribute to reducing plastic waste but also craft garments with a eco-friendly touch.
ETHICAL PRODUCTION
All our products are made ethically with the aim of improving social performance. Because the employees in the factories are also part of the Sproet & Sprout team.
The factories we work with are carefully selected and audited for the BCSI protocol (Business Social Compliance Initiative). It includes fundamental principles based on the labor standards of the International Labor Organization, the UN Charter for Human Rights and other important international and national human rights regulations. DYING
The colours of our collections are part of our identity. To get these colours it is necessary to dye the raw materials in the desired colour. To guarantee the quality of our products and to ensure that our products are not harmful to your child’s skin, we use responsible dyes.
The fabrics made from organic cotton are dyed with low-impact dyes. These approved GOTS dyes are certified as environmentally friendly, Azo-free and non-toxic. They have been tested for skin irritation and sensitivities.
UPCYCLING
We finish all of our manufactured fabrics to make sure we have no leftover fabrics and therefor no waste.
SHIPPING BAGS
As soon as the customer has placed an order on our website, the products must be packed. To protect our products from damage in transit, we place them in environmentally conscious shipping bags made from LDPE / COEX recycled plastic.
TREES FOR ALL
The clothing industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world. We try to keep our footprint as low as possible by producing sustainably, but we also like to give something back to Mother Nature. A part of every order placed on our webshop will be donated to the foundation ‘Trees for all’.
Trees are the best way to combat climate change. Trees for All plants trees in the Netherlands and abroad and offsets CO2 emissions through sustainable reforestation projects. In this way they contribute to a better climate, more biodiversity and better living conditions.
